The AMS-R17 3/8” Mini recessed contact series and the AMS-R21 3/8” recessed contact series are now available with Rare Earth magnets.  Rare Earth magnets are very useful for metal doors with a channel running across the top.  The Rare Earth magnet can be installed using an adhesive, thus eliminating the need to cut a hole in the door.  These highly effective magnets significantly reduce installation time, which in turn lowers cost and increases profits for installation contractors.
