The Model ADPS is an Adjustable Deadband Pressure Switch with independent set and reset points that are adjustable throughout the entire operating range of the switch. The minimum deadband (minimum span between set and reset points) may be obtained at any point in the operating range of the switch. A change in pressure greater than the high setting will reposition the switch mechanism to open or close a single snap-action electrical switch.

The model PCS is a Pump Control Switch with independent set and reset points which are adjustable throughout the entire operating range of the switch. The minimum deadband (minimum span between set and reset points) may be obtained at any point in the operating range of the switch. When the pressure drops below the setting, a snap action switch closes energizing the built in pump control relay and turns the pump on. When the pressure increases above the high setting, the snap action switch opens de-energizing the built in pump control relay and turns the pump off.

Unique Features

  • Window to allow easy viewing of set points
  • Manual switch actuator allows testing of wiring without changing pressure

Codes and Approvals

  • UL
  • CSA
  • CE

Engineering Features

  • NEMA 4X enclosure
  • Standard brass pressure connection, optional stainless steel
  • Beryllium copper diaphragm protected by stainless steel isolator

Installation Tips

  • The ADPS can operate a 1/8 HP 120 vac motor
  • The PCS can operate a 1/2 HP 120 vac motor
  • The minimum deadband is 12 psi. Make sure the adjustment wheels are set at least 12 psi apart
  • Do not overlap the adjustment wheels. The upper wheel is the high setting

Tech Tips

  • If the HP of the motor is higher than the rating of the ADPS or PCS, a motor starter must be used.
  • On the PCS; the Red wire is the switched load. The black and white are for Hot and Neutral respectively.

Additional Information

  • The ADPS and PCS are esentially the same product, the PCS just has a higher horsepower rating for larger motors.
