What People Are Saying About Working With Potter
Potter Electric takes pride in maintaining product consistency and limiting unnecessary product changes. However, some changes are beyond our control.
With that said, the Potter smoke detector model PS-24 has been discontinued. The reason for the discontinuation is the inability to obtain necessary components. The PS-24 has been replaced by the CPS-24. The CPS-24 is a direct replacement in form, fit and function of the PS-24.The only difference being that the CPS-24 is not ULC Listed for use in Canada. Potter does not carry a smoke detector that is ULC Listed for use in Canada. The CPS-24N is a photoelectric smoke detector without the magnetic test feature, and will also be available for purchase. There are no new bases as the new detectors will fit on the existing bases.
At this time UL has only finished the compatibility listing between the two new smoke detectors (CPS-24 and CPS-24N) and the Potter PFC-4410 series panels. Potter will notify our customers when UL has issued the compatibility listing for additional Potter panels. This information will also be posted on our website. The PS-24H combination smoke and heat detector is still available and listed with the Potter panels.
