Potter announces upgrades have been made to its Retrofit Ball Valve Supervisory Switch (RBVS) Tamper/Supervisory switch. Originally developed to monitor the position of a ball valve installed on a sprinkler system, the RBVS has been redesigned to allow more room for wiring during installation. The upgraded RBVS kit also now includes extra mounting hardware allowing it to be installed on solenoids to supervise the position of the coil which will be a requirement in NFPA 13 beginning in 2021. The upgrade will also still retain the ability to be mounted on ½" thru 2" ball valves and backflow preventors.

Mike Henke, Potter Electric's Sprinkler Product Manager said,

"The RBVS was redesigned to be more durable and allow more room and flexibility during installations. We are excited to provide these upgrades to our customers and give them more options when building out their sprinkler systems."
