Meet Our Esteemed Panelists

Jeff Klein

President - Potter Fire Safety

Jeff has been in the Fire Safety industry for 25 years – during his time in the industry he has held various roles in product management and leadership and been passionate about developing new products that further the mission of making buildings safer for the public. He is currently President of Potter's Fire Safety business. He served for 12 years on the Notification Chapter of NFPA 72 and currently serves as a member of the Protected Premises Committee for NFPA 72.

Sean Heskett

President – Potter Sprinkler Monitoring

Sean has been with Potter for 29 years with various roles in operations, product management and divisional leadership. He has a passion to drive global life safety advancement through code and technology innovations. He currently serves as the President of Potter's Fire Suppression division and also serves in various industry leadership positions on with the National Fire Sprinkler Association and the International Fire Suppression Alliance.

Tim Anderson

President – Valcom

Tim has over 30 years of comprehensive leadership experience across Private Equity ventures and Fortune 500 companies. He has had the pleasure of working for two PE firms as well as public companies like J&J, Quest Diagnostics, Danaher, and AMETEK. His experience spans multiple industries from medical devices, diagnostics/genomics, healthcare communications, and Emergency Mass Notification. Prior to his career in business, he proudly served in the US Army for seven years, rising from a platoon leader to a company commander.

Larry Rietz

Global Service Line Leader for Fire Detection & Alarm - Jensen Hughes

Larry is the Global Service Line Leader for Fire Detection & Alarm for Jensen Hughes out of Denver, Colorado. He has been in the fire alarm industry for 29 years. Half of Larry's time is spent actively designing and commissioning large fire and emergency communications systems including managing a huge amount of work at the 3rd largest airport in the US. With the rest his time, he works as an instructor, author, and industry advocate.

David Lowrey

Chief Fire Marshal - Boulder Fire Rescue

David serves as Chief Fire Marshal with the City of Boulder Fire Rescue in Boulder, Colorado. Lowrey has been with Boulder Fire for 27 years. Prior to his appointment to the position of Fire Marshal, he served eight years as the department's Fire Protection Engineer. He oversees the Community Risk Reduction Division including code enforcement, building construction, life safety education, and fire investigations. David has extensive experience in plan review as well as inspecting and acceptance testing of fire protection systems. David currently serves as a principal member on NFPA 13 technical committee for installation as well as NFPA 13 correlating committee. He is the current chair of NFPA 72 technical committee for "Fundamentals of Fire Alarm and Signaling Systems" and an alternate on NFPA 3 and 4. David also services as the technical chair for NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology at Oklahoma State University.

Barry is a life safety industry veteran with 48 years of service in various leadership capacities with respected systems manufacturers. He has participated in NEMA and NFPA committee work throughout his career. Barry retired from full time employment in 2020 and has since served Potter Global Technologies' executive team as a strategy and transformation consultant.
